Companion

by Eco Your Way

Nutrition, exercise, rest and stress management, in one record you keep.

What this is for

Many women are doing the healthy things and still do not feel their best.

The question is not whether you are trying. It is whether you are doing the things you need right now.

Companion looks at four areas together rather than treating each as a separate fix. Nutrition, exercise, rest and stress move with each other, and an app that watches one of them at a time cannot see that.

Nutrition

One question a day, and it is not a food diary: was there one nourishing choice in it. Two weeks of meals sit behind that, with a shopping list built from the ones you pick and a matcher for whatever is already in the cupboard.

Exercise

It asks whether movement fitted today, and takes resting as an answer rather than as a failure. Thirty-four movements are there for the days when the honest amount is five minutes on the stairs.

Rest

Rest is not only sleep, so the question is what rest actually looked like today. On a flare day the app offers the smallest useful version of everything else, because safety, nourishment, medication as directed, comfort and rest is a full day of work.

Stress management

It asks how manageable the day has felt, and offers four breathing patterns and two guided practices for the days when the answer is that it has not been. Nothing is scored and nothing is timed against anybody else.

The four together

Push on one and the others move whether you meant them to or not. A week of broken sleep turns up in what you eat, and a stretch of pressure turns up in whether you move at all.

Companion keeps the four in one record, so what you have after a month is one account of a month rather than four separate ones.

The record

What a month looks like

One row for each thing you note, one bar for each day. It fills in as you go, and there is nothing to catch up on.

Day 1
Disturbed sleep
Day 7
Disturbed sleep
Low energy or fatigue
Low or anxious mood
Day 14
Disturbed sleep
Low energy or fatigue
Low or anxious mood

Nothing here is rated, ranked, or compared with anyone else.

Everything you write stays on this device. There is no account, and no copy on any server, including ours.

No streaks, and nothing that gets worse the longer you leave it.

What it costs

$20 a month, or $199 a year.

Which is ten months for twelve. There is no introductory rate: the monthly price is the same in the first month as in the twelfth.

This is general information about nutrition, exercise, rest and stress management. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for advice from a clinician who knows your history. Any bleeding after your periods have stopped is worth reporting to a doctor promptly, however light. The full terms and disclaimer and privacy in full are in the app, and both open without a subscription.
